Booking and delivery
How far in advance should I book a porta potty?
Booking 2 to 3 business days ahead gets you your choice of delivery day with no rush fee. Same-day delivery is possible when you call by 12 noon. Graduation weekends, Memorial Day and the Fourth of July should be booked 2 to 3 weeks ahead.
Is tomorrow too short notice?
Next-day delivery is routine for standard units, accessible units and hand wash stations. Call before the end of the business day and dispatch puts you on the next morning's route.
What is the earliest you can deliver tomorrow?
First-out deliveries start at 7 AM. Ask for an early stop when you book and dispatch places you near the front of the route when possible.
Can I get a delivery window narrower than 7 AM to 7 PM?
Planned deliveries can be set for a morning or afternoon window. An exact time is not promised, because traffic and service stops shift the route. The driver calls or texts before arriving.
Will you deliver the day before my party or the day of?
Event units arrive the business day before your event. That way the unit is in place and stocked no matter what time your guests arrive.
Do you deliver to my town?
Delivery covers all of Spartanburg County and nearby towns in Greenville, Cherokee and Union counties. Check your ZIP on the service areas page or call (864) 209-8751.
Do you deliver to rural or remote property?
Rural property is fine as long as a truck can reach the spot on a firm drive. Long gravel lanes, steep grades and creek crossings should be mentioned when you book, so dispatch can send the right truck.
Do you rent to people outside Spartanburg County?
Greer, Greenville, Gaffney, Union and many smaller towns are on our routes. Delivery farther from Spartanburg costs a little more. See the full list of towns.
Will a different company show up with my porta potty?
Your unit comes from our own Spartanburg fleet and our own drivers. Your order is never handed to an out-of-town hauler you did not book.
Pricing and payment
How much is a porta potty for one day?
A one-day event uses our event price, which starts at $225 for a standard unit with delivery and pickup included. A one-day rental and a Friday-to-Monday weekend cost the same. See the pricing guide.
How much is a porta potty for a week or two weeks?
A rental of 1 or 2 weeks uses the 28-day job site price, which starts at $199 plus delivery and includes weekly service. Short rentals are not prorated, because the truck trips cost the same.
Do you charge by the hour?
Porta potty rentals are not priced by the hour. The price covers delivering the unit, keeping it on site for the event or cycle, and picking it up.
Does the price include delivery and pickup?
Event prices include delivery and pickup. Job site and monthly prices list delivery and final pickup as separate lines. Either way, every line is on your quote before you pay.
Is the delivery fee charged for each unit?
Units delivered together on one truck share the trip. Your quote shows exactly how delivery is charged for your order.
Is sales tax included in your prices?
Starting prices do not include South Carolina sales tax. Tax is added on the quote, and the rate depends on the delivery address.
Is there a deposit to hold my date?
Wayne Rental Works does not take a deposit. The rental is paid by card when you book, and the date is held from that moment.
What forms of payment do you take?
Credit and debit cards are taken by phone when you book. Businesses on 28-day rentals get an invoice each cycle. Ask dispatch about paying by check for long-term accounts.
Can I put the rental under my business name?
A rental can be booked under a business name, with the card holder's name and billing address on file. The invoice shows the business name for your records.
Why do you need my card's billing address?
The card processor will not approve a charge without the billing address. It is used only to verify the card.
Do you give discounts to nonprofits, churches or schools?
Nonprofits, churches and schools can have sales tax removed by emailing an exemption certificate. Groups booking several units together save on the delivery line.
We are tax-exempt. How do we get the tax taken off?
Email your South Carolina exemption certificate before or after booking. Billing removes the tax, or refunds it if the card was already charged.
Can you email me the quote?
Every quote can be emailed or texted. Ask on the phone, or send the quote form and the written quote comes with the call back.
Units and equipment
What kinds of porta potties do you have?
We rent 5 kinds: standard units, wheelchair-accessible units, deluxe flushing units, hand wash stations and restroom trailers.
What comes inside a standard unit?
A standard unit has a toilet seat, a urinal, a toilet paper holder with 2 rolls and a vent stack. Event units also get a hand sanitizer dispenser.
What is the difference between a standard unit and one with a sink?
A standard unit has no running water. A deluxe flushing unit adds a foot-pump sink with soap and towels inside, plus a flush. A separate hand wash station is the other way to add a sink.
What are the dimensions of the handicap porta potty?
Our wheelchair-accessible unit is about 7 feet wide, 7 feet deep and 7.5 feet tall, with a ground-level floor and a door about 36 inches wide.
Do you have luxury restroom trailers?
Two-stall and three-stall restroom trailers are available for weddings and events. They need a level spot, a standard outlet and a garden hose.
Can I see a picture of the unit before I rent?
Every unit page on this site shows real photos of our units, inside and out. Dispatch can also text you a photo of the unit type you are renting.
Do you rent portable showers or changing rooms?
We rent toilets, hand wash stations and restroom trailers only. We do not rent showers or changing rooms.
Do you rent dumpsters too?
Our company rents restrooms only. For a dumpster, ask your contractor or call a local roll-off company.
Cleaning and servicing
What does a service visit include?
A service visit includes 4 steps: pumping the waste tank, scrubbing the seat, walls and floor, adding fresh deodorizer, and restocking paper and sanitizer. Hand wash stations are drained and refilled.
Do you clean event units during the event?
One-day events are not serviced during the event. Multi-day events can add a service visit between days when you book.
What day of the week is my unit serviced?
Service usually falls on the same weekday as delivery. Ask dispatch to move it to another weekday, such as a Monday before your crew's week starts.
My unit was not cleaned this week. What do I do?
Call dispatch with the address. A missed visit is made up on the next route day at no charge.
Do you pump out porta potties that I own?
Wayne Rental Works services its own rental fleet. Owners of their own units should use a licensed septic pumper.
Is the cleaning crew licensed?
South Carolina requires a license to clean self-contained toilets under Regulation 61-56.1. Waste goes only to state-approved disposal facilities.
Placement and access
Where should I put the porta potty so the truck can reach it?
Pick a level, firm spot within about 30 feet of where the truck can park. The service hose reaches roughly that far.
Can it go on the side of the house instead of the front?
A side yard works if there is a clear path about 4 feet wide and the spot is within reach of the service hose. Tell dispatch about gates and fences.
How do I show the driver where to put it?
Set a cone, a chair or a piece of plywood on the spot, and add a note on the order. You can also text dispatch a photo with the spot circled.
There is a locked gate. What do you need?
Leave the gate code or the lockbox details with dispatch, or open the gate when the driver calls. A locked gate with no code may mean a trip fee.
Can you put it in a parking lot?
Parking lots work well. Pick a corner spot out of traffic lanes, and get the property owner's permission if the lot is not yours.
Do I need city approval to put a porta potty in a park?
Public parks need permission from the park owner. City of Spartanburg events on public property need a special event permit. County parks have their own reservation rules.
Can the unit go on the street in front of my house?
Units should stay off the street and sidewalk. A unit in a public right-of-way needs city, county or SCDOT permission, depending on who owns the road.
Events
How much does it cost to rent a porta potty for a birthday party?
A birthday party usually needs 1 standard event unit, starting at $225 with delivery and pickup included, plus tax. Larger parties may need a second unit.
We have 36 guests and one bathroom on a septic tank. What should we get?
Rent 1 standard unit. It keeps 36 guests off your septic system for the day and keeps traffic out of the house.
Do we need a porta potty for a wedding at a venue with no bathroom?
A venue with no bathroom needs either deluxe flushing units or a restroom trailer. Use the calculator to size it.
Do you have event packages?
Most events use one of 3 setups: a single standard unit, standard units with a hand wash station, or deluxe units or a trailer for weddings. Dispatch can quote any mix.
We need a porta potty for a funeral today. Can you help?
Call by noon for same-day delivery. The unit is picked up the next business day.
Can you set up units for a farm auction or vendor event?
Auctions and vendor days use standard units with 1 hand wash station per 2 to 3 toilets. Vendors serving food need their own hot-water handwashing sink.
Job sites and long-term rentals
How much is a construction porta potty per month?
A job site porta potty starts at $199 per 28-day cycle with weekly service, plus delivery and final pickup, plus tax.
Can I set up a rental now for a job that starts next month?
Future start dates can be booked any time. The rental starts on the delivery date, not the booking date.
How much for a porta potty all summer or all year?
A season or year-long rental is billed one 28-day cycle at a time, at the same cycle price. 13 cycles cover a full year.
Will I get an invoice every month?
Long-term renters get an invoice at the start of every 28-day cycle by email.
Can a storefront or business keep a unit with weekly service?
Businesses, farms and seasonal stands keep units on 28-day cycles with weekly service. The unit stays until you call for pickup.
How many workers can one porta potty handle?
One standard unit serves about 10 workers on a 40-hour week with weekly service. OSHA's legal minimum is lower; see the OSHA guide.
There is an abandoned porta potty on my lot. Is it yours?
Every rental unit carries its owner's name and phone number. If ours is on the door, call and we pick it up. If not, call the company listed on the unit.
Pickup, extensions and cancellation
How do I schedule pickup when I am done?
Call or text dispatch with the address. Pickup usually happens within 1 to 2 business days, and billing stops on the pickup date.
Can I leave the pickup date open?
Job site and home rentals can stay open-ended. The cycle renews until you call.
Can I keep the unit past the first 28 days?
The rental renews automatically at the cycle price. No new paperwork is needed.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 2 business days before delivery for a full refund. Cancel within 2 business days and the delivery charge is kept. Same-day orders are not refundable once dispatched. Read the rental terms.
Will I get a cancellation confirmation?
Every cancellation is confirmed by email or text the same business day.
If it rains, can I move my event date?
Moving the date is free when you call at least 2 business days before delivery. Weekend rentals already cover a Sunday rain date.
